I wailed as a child. As I grew up I made up songs about pretty much anything. I've never really stopped. I taught myself guitar a few years ago in Tokyo. I didn't know a soul in Japan and the freedom that gave me, the freedom from being the person I always was, or was thought to be, gave me the chance to experiment, to become the musician, the singer I always wanted to be. Over the past few years I've played with some incredible musicians. I've learned so much from them and have worked hard on writing and playing songs that make people feel something.
