"When Tamara sings you sometimes feel you’re entering a very personal emotional hell, such is the raw honesty of her lyrics, while her voice can dance like Cait O’Riordan or strike out like Patti Smith"

EXCITING NEWS! We are hosting an awesome launch party for our festival at The Roastery on 4 June. Come along for a night of great music and a free glass of fizz, compliments of The Perch. Check out facebook for more details or our bad-ass poster below.
This month I was back in the studio working on the album and managed to finish ALL my vocal tracks. It's great to have them all done but I am a little sad too, I bloody love singing! We also recorded bass parts for two songs with the wonderfully talented Tom. Richard Neuberg's studio is based in Islip and I couldn't reccommend it more highly. Especially if you love the countryside and endless cups of tea!

July-August 2015: Recording Violin with Ben Heaney
Over the summer I spent some time with the brilliantly talented and intrigingly interesting Ben Heaney. He has been working on writing some wonderful violin parts for my new album and, after a rehearsal and many cups of tea, we got into the studio and managed to get some tracks down. I absoultely love being in the studio and the experience is enhanced when the musical chemistry is nailed. Sorry to sound cheesy but when it all gels you wonder why you bother doing anything else in life! Ben is working on some great projects at the moment and has lots more information on his website here. Here he is in action at Strawhouse Studios.

It is that time again! All Tamara’sParties #16 will be an extra special night because are we hosting the event in one of the oldest surviving buildings in Oxford. But that doesn't mean you’ll have to suffer a night of crumbling floors, renditions of greensleeves or a hurdy-gurdy solo. We have haunting, beautiful and foot-stomping sounds from:
Sephine Llo, sound engineer turned songwriter has just released her new EP The Flame which has enjoyed airplay on Radio 3, The Other Woman show and is available now on Itunes. She has just returned from playing Wood Festival and we are delighted to have her at ATP for her first Oxford show.
Julia Meijer moved here from her native Stockholm, Sweden towards the end of 2012, and has started to make a name for herself on the thriving acoustic/folk scene in Oxford. Julia recently played The Punt with rave reviews and is set for a successful summer of shows, festivals and a debut record.
The Epstein: ‘There has not been a better band to come out of Oxford this year’ say Rolling Stone Magazine and we wholeheartedly concur. 2012 and 2013 saw the band perform across the UK, Belgium, France, Holland, Germany and Ireland, garnering great reviews for their live show as well as Murmurations. The band are currently finishing off tracks for their third studio album which will be released later in 2014.
There will be an amazing raffle of wonderful musical prizes donated by the bands and the local musical community so bring some change!
